In 1994, Clare & Claudio Duran founded the European Nursing Agency (ENA).  Since then it has been providing “live-in” care for many clients, the majority of whom are either physically disabled or elderly persons requiring 24 hour care,  all wanting to remain in the comfort of their own home.  Paul joined the company in 1998 as Managing Director and then took the post of Chairman in 2004.

Through the Prince's trust, Paul mentored business founder John Machell during the first couple of years of business. As a family run removals company based near Watford, John takes personal pride in all the removal services he provide, and have established a reputation for customer satisfaction.

Paul and Jane established the PJE foundation in 2009 to coordinate grants and donations in support of eduction for young people. Providing opportunities for further education and training to lift life earning potential for future families.  Each year the foundation helps fund further education opportunities in the UK.

Through the Prince's trust, Paul mentored business founder Joanna Mason during the first couple of years of business.  Joanne offers many courses in crafts such as silver ring making and stained glass.  She also is a very talented jewellery maker and has taken many private commissions for pieces.  She also runs the Herts Crafts Collaborative at Battler's Green farm, Radlett where she hosts a number of local crafts makers and dealers.

PostHeaderIcon Home-Start

Home-Start is a national network of not-for-profit support services for young families in need.  Paul joined as a trustee responsible for board governance and recruitment.  Paul has since been elected as chair of the board of trustees in St Albans. Trained volunteers offer practical and emotional support to local families with children under 5. In 2010/11 the charity supported 111 families through 70 volunteers.

Paul is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons or LDS for short) and his beliefs in Christianity have shaped his outlook and family life.  Paul served as a missionary for two years at age 18 in France and in the Indian Ocean Islands of La Reunion and Mauritius where he learnt to speak fluent French.
